Who needs a sworn translator in Spain?

If you need to submit a document originally written in English to any Spanish authority, you will likely need a sworn translation. This includes:

  • Digital Nomad Visa (DNV) applicants submitting employment contracts, service agreements, bank statements, or background checks.
  • Non-Lucrative Visa applicants providing proof of income, bank statements, medical certificates or marriage certificates.
  • Students submitting academic transcripts, diplomas and degree certificates for Spanish university admissions or homologation.
  • Businesses incorporating in Spain needing translated articles of incorporation, tax documents, or contracts.
  • Individuals registering a marriage, birth, or divorce in Spain with documents issued abroad.

Documents We Translate

Birth certificates, marriage certificates, divorce decrees, death certificates, adoption papers.

Background Checks

Academic Documents

University diplomas, degree certificates, academic transcripts, high school diplomas.

Legal & Corporate

Service agreements, employment contracts, powers of attorney, company incorporation certificates, tax returns.

How It Works

  1. 1Send your document. Email your PDF or high-quality scan to info@ridertranslate.com or upload it via the contact form.
  2. 2Receive a quote and pay. You will receive a price confirmation and payment link. Payment is made when you order.
  3. 3Get your sworn translation. Your digitally signed and stamped sworn translation is delivered via email, ready to submit to Spanish authorities.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Getting the apostille after the translation. The apostille must be applied before translation, as it also needs to be translated.
  • Sending incomplete scans. All pages, even blank or stamped ones, must be included. Do not crop margins, seals, or footers.
  • Name and date inconsistencies. Ensure your name, dates and passport numbers are consistent across all your documents.
