Sworn Translations for Spain's Digital Nomad Visa

Applying for Spain's Digital Nomad Visa (DNV) means submitting documents in Spanish. If your documents are in English, you need an official sworn translation (traducción jurada) that Spanish consulates and immigration offices will accept. RiderTranslate provides MAEC-certified sworn translations specifically for DNV applications.

DNV Documents We Translate

Employment & Service Contracts

Work contracts, service agreements, and letters from employers or clients proving your remote work relationship.

Proof of Income

Bank statements, pay stubs, tax returns, and income certificates. All figures and dates must be faithfully reproduced.

Criminal Background Checks

FBI background checks, ACRO police certificates, and criminal record checks. Apostille must be applied before translation.

Company & Personal Documents

Certificate of incorporation, articles of association, marriage and birth certificates for dependent family members.

Why Your DNV Translation Must Be Sworn

Spanish consulates and immigration offices require sworn translations (traducciones juradas) for visa applications. A sworn translation carries the official stamp and signature of a translator appointed by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, certifying that the translation is true and faithful to the original. A regular translation, no matter how accurate, will not be accepted.

DNV Translation Checklist

  • Apostille first, translate second. If your background check or certificate needs an apostille, get it apostilled before sending it for translation.
  • Scan every page. Include all pages, even blank ones. Do not crop margins, seals, signatures, QR codes or footers.
  • Check for consistency. Your name, dates and passport number must match across all documents. Flag any discrepancies to your translator.
  • Confirm requirements with your lawyer or consulate. Document requirements may vary slightly depending on where you apply.
